About this route
The only route that heads east rather than west, and it changes the shape of the sum entirely. Georgia charges nothing anywhere on its network — not "free apart from a few structures" the way Germany is, but genuinely nothing; the East-West Highway that carries every route from Sarp to Tbilisi is state-built and free. The measurement shows it plainly: on a sixteen-hundred-kilometre drive the entire crossing cost arises on the Turkish side, and the Georgian line is fuel alone. This is the cleanest demonstration on the site that what you pay in tolls is a fact about the country, not about the distance.
